Some Safety feedback following Sunday 29th Oct race.

Safety Reminder:

Last Sunday’s race was run in very windy conditions. There were reports of 2 bunches spreading across the centre line, using the right hand side during the race.  This is not allowed as it hinders other traffic and is hazardous (and breaches the “2 abreast” rule for cyclists).  We are scrutinised by the public and by the police (a police car followed one of the bunches for a while on Sunday).  To ensure we continue to get police approval for our racing we need to share the road and follow the road rules.

SDVLCC AGM held 12 Nov 2017

Southern Vets held its 2017 Annual General Meeting on 12 Nov.  A good number of members attended to hear the proceedings and take part – thanks to all attendees. Congratulations to all elected Committee Members and Appointees, and thanks for your support for the administration of our Club in 2018.  Special congratulations to Frank Schoen who has stepped up to the role of President – a more positive influence would be difficult to find.

Other Reports and the Committee List 2018 will be available soon.

Ride well.  Ride Safe.
